Easter

What a great weekend we had to celebrate Easter. Sadly, Jack still wasn't feeling well due to his horrific ear infection, so that made for some tense moments due to his behavior, but all in all we had a great weekend.

We took the boys to our church for a children's service followed by an egg hunt on Saturday morning. They did such a great job sitting in the main sanctuary, watching the puppet show and dancing to the music.

Here is Blake waiting for the puppet show to begin. Don't even get me started on how old he looks here. (tear)

Here is Jack waiting patiently.

After the service, everyone piled outside for the egg hunt. It was separated by age but toddler-4 is quite a large age range. Here is what our boys were competing against.

That is only supposed to be through age 4, the older kids were in a different area. As you can imagine, we didn't get too many eggs.
Here is Jack just picking up candy that was also scattered.

"Where are all the eggs?"

"I'm lookin' brother!"

The boys running and playing with their daddy.

Garrett and I decided to head back up to church on Saturday night for the Easter service so that we would have more time on Easter morning. I love the fact that it gave us more time on Sunday but it definitely didn't feel like Easter especially since the Saturday night service is so contemporary.

When we got the boys up on Easter morning and sat them down to eat breakfast, they could see their toys on the fireplace. I don't think they have ever eaten so quickly.

They got down from their chairs and ran straight over to the goodies.

They LOVE this scooter. The step also raises up so they can sit on it and ride it sitting down. I'm amazed at the coordination they have to ride it like a proper scooter.

Blake and his new monster trucks. If it has wheels, this kid loves it!

Jack went over to the new golf set, picked up a ball and club and went after it. Garrett's heart skipped a beat in hopes that we have a future player on our hands.

We finally changed into our Easter clothes. Oh. My. Gosh. They are so handsome!!!

Outside ready to hunt the eggs the Easter bunny left.

With this being their 3rd hunt, they knew exactly what to do.

"I got one!"

I love these boys so much!! It doesn't get any cuter than this!

We met my dad and Margie for an early lunch and then saw Garrett's family for a little while. We came home, put the boys down for a nap and crashed. It was nice to have the rest of the day just for our family. When the boys woke up, we went outside and spent 2 hours playing with all their new toys.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

7 Acre Woods

Today our playgroup met at a great place in Conroe called 7 Acre Woods. We have never been there before but I have heard great things about it. There is a petting zoo, playground, putt-putt, zip lines, tons of toys and lots of running room.

We got there around 10am and thanks to the cloud cover the weather was very nice. The boys had a great time running around and petting the animals. I forgot my camera in the petting zoo area, so you will just have to imagine Blake chasing around the roaming goats.

We played for a while and then ate lunch at the picnic tables. That is when the kids discovered the piles upon piles of leaves. I can't believe I let them play in them due to my fear of snakes hiding in places like that. Apparently a pile of leaves is all we need, because they had more fun with that than anything else.

Blake loves to climb up to the slide but not a huge fan of sliding down.

Jack loved the tractor to climb on.

This is the sweetest picture!! Georgia, Lexi, Blake and Macie all walking to the big boat to play on.

After lunch, the leaves were discovered.

Jack and Macie throwing leaves on each other with Jake looking on thinking they are crazy.

Blake is having the time of his life.

Blake, Jack and Macie being monkeys.

Blake and Lexi. So sweet!! They look like they could be brother and sister.

Jack looked like he had been in a war after all of the leaf playing.

When we got home both boys were thrown in the bathtub before they took a nap. We had a blast today and can't wait to go back!

Erbele, party of 5!!

God has answered our prayers and is blessing us with another child!!! Our frozen embryo tranfser worked!! I am only 4 weeks pregnant and due in mid-Decemeber. After having the transfer, we told our family and friends that we had to wait two weeks to get the results. That was a little white lie. We just wanted to give ourselves time to digest the news, good or bad. Garrett thought I was going in to get my blood work done last Wednesday, when in actuality I went on Tuesday. I wanted to be able to surprise him. Everyone else who is lucky enough to get pregnant on their own can surprise their husbands, friends and family. When everyone knew the exact day of my FET , I knew it would be hard to surprise anyone. So even if it meant a few little lies, it was worth it to somewhat surprise people. As soon as I got the call from my nurse on Tuesday with the wonderful news, I ran next door and had Kedra write "Due December 2011" on my tummy. When the boys woke up, I taught them to lift my shirt when I asked them, "Where is the baby?" So, when Garrett got home I whispered that question to Jack and he lifted my shirt. Garrett was ecstatic and shocked, thinking we wouldn't know anything until the following day. To tell our family and friends, I had the boys wear their "Big Brother in Charge" shirts. Georgia is the only one who got it. My dad and Margie didn't get it and either did Garrett's family. We finally had to point the shirts out to all of them. :) We are so thrilled to share this news with everyone and can't wait to meet our newest bundle of joy. I go in for my first ultrasound in two weeks on May 2nd.

First Easter egg hunt

Wow, I'm on a roll here. Three posts in a row. I get so much done when the boys are at Mother's Day Out! Yesterday was our Sunday school class's 2nd Annual Easter egg hunt. We meet at a local park, brought eggs and lunches and had a blast. I was unsure if the boys would get the concept of the egg hunt, but those worries didn't last long. They got it and were running after their eggs. Blake wasted no time grabbing his eggs. Garrett was working quite hard to teach Blake to hold his basket in a more 'manly' manner. "I have hit the candy jackpot!" Jack also wasted no time! I know the sun is really bad in this picture, but I just love the little boy innocence on Jack's face. The best we could get of the two of them together.
Little do these guys know that many more egg hunts are in their future. I can't wait for next weekend!

Old MacDonald's Farm

Last Wednesday Georgia and I took the kids to Old MacDonald's Farm in Humble. I hadn't been since I was a little girl, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. We all had a blast. There was a train to ride, animals to pet and feed and tons of playground equipment. The weather was perfect, so we couldn't ask for anything more. Here is Jack on his first pony ride. He loved it! Blake got on and immediately got off. We'll try again next time. They loved the chickens. I love how Blake is so intently looking and checking out this animal he has only seen in books.
Being very gentle.

Here are all the kids. We were laughing because there are 4 kids but only 2 outfits.

"Let me at those chickens!"

Right after this picture, Jack picked up the chicken. I yelped, which scared Jack and he started crying. Oops.

There were 2 deer just roaming the grounds.

They took off running after these two got close.

We had such a great time and we can't wait to go back!

Let's play ball!

Last Saturday, after the tooth nightmare, Garrett's company had a softball tournament. Garrett got up much earlier than the rest of us to head out to Katy to play. The boys and I had a relaxing morning before loading up and making the long drive. It was a beautiful day and I was excited to meet Garrett's new coworkers and their families and, of course, show off my handsome little guys. There were lots of other little kids that they boys played with and they had a blast! Here are Garrett and his boys. Jack and Mommy Garrett and Blake
Blake got caught with his hand in the cookie bag.

Garrett teaching his boy about the game of baseball.

Jack was so tired and his ear infection was really bothering him. What a sweet picture though!

The boys loved playing with this little car that another family brought. I love their faces in this picture.
